I teach introductory courses in European history at George Mason University and Georgetown University. Long ago I realized that fighting Wikipedia was impossible. Instead, my goal as an educator had to be to teach students how to use it. Here is a relevant link to a blog post I wrote for my students, most of whom are freshmen in a required course: historysurvey.blogspot.com/2007/08/wikipedia-in-history-survey.html[historysurvey.blogspot.com/2007/08/wikipedia-in-history-survey.html] . I've also seen some interesting posts at edwired.com[edwired.com] , another historian's blog. Unfortunately, it seems to be down this evening, so I can't give a direct link to the relevant posts.
